NYC's 70% Storefront Visibility Law Takes Effect July 1, 2026
Starting July 1, 2026, New York City will begin enforcing storefront visibility requirements that leave many traditional roll-down gates and solid security grilles non-compliant. If your storefront protection doesn’t deliver at least 70% openness, you may be subject to enforcement after the deadline.
